Beulah’s Best gathers each third Monday of every month for fun, fellowship, education and entertainment. We’ve had concerts, Christmas parties, mission opportunities, and discussion groups. While what we do changes, what remains the same is you are welcomed and valued as a vital member of Beulah’s Best, if this is your 100th time or just your first.
Beulah offers a bereavement support group called Hugging Hearts. The group is open to anyone who is dealing with grief due to the loss of a loved one and who would like to share their loss with others in order to begin rebuilding their lives. Meetings are held at church on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month at 7pm. The facilitators are Emma Bradley and Louise King.
Jesus Needs a Ride
A team of volunteers who will provide transportation for members to medical visits. We understand that going to the doctors can be a lonely experience, and for some, downright impossible. We offer this service free of charge to members of Beulah UMC for doctor’s appointments. We ask that as much forward notice be given.
If knitting or crocheting is one of your favorite pastimes, then this is the group for you. The Prayer Shawl Ministries group finds fellowship in a spiritual environment. They meet monthly to knit and crochet shawls. These shawls are then distributed to members of the community in need of comfort due to impending surgeries, illness, or loss of loved ones.
The Senior Ministries at Beulah United Methodist Church is a diverse and vibrant group of senior saints that gather all across the Richmond area. We welcome all seniors to join us in this eclectic ministry. We know though that we are guided by our Creator, Sustainer, and Redeemer in all things and through all things. Our Senior Adult Ministry team coordinates the missions and activities of this group and we’re always looking to welcome new members!
The United Methodist Men have a dinner meeting the third Tuesday of every month, September through May. Their meetings provide opportunities for fellowship, spiritual enrichment, and service to other organizations in the Richmond area and within the church. The men sponsor a church-wide outing to a Richmond Squirrels baseball game during the summer. The men also hold an annual sale of fresh Virginia apples to raise money for the many ministries they support.
